shoes: Mango

My mom told me she used to have a pair just like these when she was in high-school in the 70’s, which makes them even more perfect.

shopped: 69 vintage

January 24, 2011

I just got back from a trip to 69 Vintage on Queen Street with Leah of Little Red Purse! The store is filled with amazing finds, all perfectly selected and curated by owner Kealan Sullivan. Its so easy to fall in love with vintage pieces when you don’t have to dig through piles of junk to find the good stuff. The whole store IS the good stuff. After trying on a few sequinned tops (ALL of which I wanted!) and a perfect knitted cape complete with baubles as buttons, I settled on an amazing fur collar. (You will be seeing it in upcoming posts very soon!) If you are lucky enough to live in, or around Toronto, you need to visit!

PS. Sorry my photos aren’t up to their usual quality today. My  usual lens is getting a repair so I was using my lensbaby lens instead. It’s not really best for indoor photography, so they kind of ended up with vintage look, which I guess is actually very appropriate!

outfit du jour: jcrew re-do!

November 10, 2010

OK, I confess, I didn’t actually wear these outfits out anywhere. I was inspired by the jcrew catalogue photos I posted earlier, and I wanted to try to do my own version of the way they were styled. Like?

Shopped: Jeffrey Campbell

November 6, 2010

It’s so nice to meet you Jeffrey.

I tried on these Jeffrey Campbell Shoes a few weeks ago, and ever since I’ve been totally obsessed; finally made the purchase yesterday! The thing is wedge platforms are absolute GENIUS, because not only do they look awesome, but they are also super comfortable (seriously!). The angle your foot is on is actually much lower, and wedges feel more stable to walk/dance/skip/run? in. I cannot wait to wear these tonight!

must stop shopping….

shopped: online love

October 17, 2010

OK I must share: I just placed an order on and I’m giddy with excitement

I’ve been drooling over this camel coloured jacket for ages, but when I tried it on at the J Crew store in Chicago a few weekends ago I was so, so disappointed. They didn’t have the right colour in-store and it  felt slightly too short.  I was about to restart my search for a fall jacket when I checked online – not only was my dream jacket on sale – but it also comes in tall!! and for the cherry on the top – there was an online promotion for an extra 30% off sale items. So instead of paying $258 US. I payed $138. NBD.

might have ordered this skirt too…

can’t wait for the mail to arrive!
